My name is Roselyn Kwenda, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Massachusetts- Lowell in 2004 and my Master of Science in Nursing from University of Texas- Arlington in 2016. I have extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, which allows me to support individuals across a wide range of mental health needs.
Life is full of ups and downs, and I have learned from both personal and professional experience that 'suffering in silence' is not really sustainable or healthy for anyone. You deserve to feel heard and to function at your best level. I have 6 years' experience post-graduation from the University of Texas with helping folks do just that. From nonprofits, to medical clinics, to correctional facilities, to teletherapy, I have connected deeply and partnered with many clients and families to trudge through some of their darkest hours and find more validation, calmness, and acceptance. My fluency in Spanish has given me opportunities to break down walls and connect with hundreds of clients whose cultural background is different than mine. I would be honored to have the chance to see if working together is a good fit for your healing journey.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience caring for individuals across a variety of mental health settings. My background includes leadership in inpatient psychiatry, nursing education, and direct patient care.
I specialize in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. I have been in the field for over fifteen years. I have worked in a variety of settings, with children, adolescents and adults. My current focus for the past several years has been on supporting adults, particularly those seeking support around life transitions, relationships and anxiety. I also have years of experience and enjoy working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. I regularly partake in continuing education, which I find exciting and helpful in keeping up with current themes in mental health care, such as exploring social justice issues through a mental health lens.
I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, supported, and empowered. I work collaboratively with clients to identify practical solutions, build on their strengths, and develop the tools needed to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
I enjoy working with clients who are ready to challenge themselves, explore new perspectives, and actively engage in the therapeutic process. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or other personal struggles, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where lasting growth and healing can take place.
